The history of coffee dates back many millennia to the ancient coffee forests on the Ethiopian plateau. There, according to folklore, the treasured beans were discovered by a goat herder by the name of Kaldi. According to legend, Kaldi discovered the Coffee bean after observing that his goats became so energized after eating the beans that they &#8220;danced&#8221; and refused to go to sleep at night.
