Pure Robusta coffee is bold and delicious with a sweet aftertaste. Robusta has become the first choice of coffee addicts. It is not as sour as Arabica coffee but has the balance and richness for a premium cup of coffee.
ORIGIN
Robusta coffee was first discovered in the Congo, in the 1800s, after which it was introduced globally into regions such as Borneo, Polynesia, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Jamaica. In 1900, Robusta coffee trees were imported to Southeast Asia and propagated and cultivated in Dak Lak Province, and throughout Vietnam’s Central Highlands.
Robusta coffee grows well in areas with abundant rain and sunshine, and temperatures between 24 and 29 degrees Celsius. Robusta thrives in areas below 1000 meters, especially 800 – 900 meters, and in areas with fertile Bazan red soil.
Robusta coffee has become the main coffee product in Vietnam. With its significant yields, Robusta is the most widely harvested coffee variety domestically and worldwide.
